About Brother Baba Budan
Brother Baba Budan on Little Bourke Street is a Melbourne specialty coffee bar run by the Seven Seeds team, and was its first city venue.
It is named after a 17th-century Sufi said to have smuggled coffee seeds out of the Middle East. The small room has a single communal table, a tiny bar and about 15 seats, with chairs hung from the ceiling. It pours the Seven Seeds espresso blend and a coffee of the day, usually a single origin, plus batch brew, with small cakes and pastries. Takeaway is the main trade, and queues form at busy times.
