licht coffee & cakes is a specialty coffee café near Kumamoto Station in Nishi Ward, run as a sister shop of Gluck Coffee Spot.
It serves coffee from Gluck's own roastery, whose lineup leans on single origins such as Ethiopian naturals and washed Colombians, with a range of cakes made to pair with it. It opens at 7:30, making it an early stop for travelers near the station, takes last orders at 18:00 and closes on Thursdays.
