John Mills Himself on Charlotte Street is a Brisbane specialty coffee bar by day and a bar by night, in a former 1920s letterpress printing works.
Owners Helen Bird and Billerwell Daye partnered with barista Marcus Allison. The house Dark Horse blend is roasted by Five Senses, and guest roasters have included Sample, Reuben Hills, Small Batch and Market Lane, with single origins and filter roasts on three grinders. French pastries come from Crust & Co and Levain. The bar is licensed, opens early and is closed on Sundays.
