About WUWAcafe
WUWAcafe is a specialty coffee café in a semicircular former tram waiting room at the WUWA modernist housing estate in Wrocław.
Agata Sikora-Jańska, a Spanish teacher and keen baker, opened it in February 2019 after winning the tender for the pavilion at the corner of Tramwajowa and Wróblewskiego. Before the war the building held a tram waiting room, a kiosk and a milk collection point, and original benches and radiators from the waiting room remain. Coffee comes from a local Wrocław roastery, and pastries and cakes are baked on site. The café also works as an information point for the WUWA estate, with maps, books and catalogues on modernist architecture. It opens daily from nine to seven.
