About Coffee Alchemy
Coffee Alchemy is a Marrickville, Sydney specialty coffee roaster and espresso bar co-owned by Hazel de los Reyes, who holds competitive cupping titles.
It spent nearly 20 years on Addison Road before that site was sold for redevelopment in 2021, then moved to Sydenham Road, bringing its Synesso machine and fittings. Its second Sydney outlet, Gumption, is in the Strand Arcade. Coffee Alchemy also lists locations in Singapore and New York, at Times Square, Flatiron and Industry City in Brooklyn. Broadsheet's 2026 guide notes that the Marrickville bar often has a queue.
