About Gumption by Coffee Alchemy
Gumption by Coffee Alchemy is a Sydney specialty coffee espresso bar on the ground floor of the historic Strand Arcade in the CBD.
It is the second Sydney outlet of the Marrickville roaster Coffee Alchemy, whose co-owner Hazel de los Reyes brought it to the Strand. Several roasts are on display, and Coffee Alchemy coffee is sold in tubes to take away. The interior is by Smith and Carmody, under the arcade's glass ceiling. It opens 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays.
