About ST. ALi Coffee Roasters
St Ali on Yarra Place is the South Melbourne specialty coffee café and roastery that Mark Dundon opened in 2005 in a converted warehouse.
Dundon roasted on site to supply the café and a few retail customers; since 2008 it has been the flagship of Salvatore Malatesta's group, which also runs Sensory Lab and Auction Rooms. The café serves its own roasts with a chef-driven brunch menu, is licensed, and has an outdoor area. Broadsheet's 2026 coffee collection calls it one of the first venues of Melbourne's specialty boom.
Brewing espresso — roasted in-house.
