About Wide Open Road Coffee Roasters
Wide Open Road is a Brunswick, Melbourne specialty coffee roaster that began roasting on Barkly Street in 2009, founded by Jono Hill and Hootan Heydari.
The roaster is visible through a window at the back of its café. The flagship Bathysphere blend uses beans from Brazil, Colombia, Ethiopia and Kenya, and seasonal single origins have included Honduras El Encino, Burundi Masha and Colombia Granja Paraiso. Wide Open Road also runs a café in Byron Bay, New South Wales, and offers a subscription chosen by its Melbourne roasting team.
