About Wide Open Road Coffee Roasters
Wide Open Road on Barkly Street is a Brunswick, Melbourne specialty coffee café and roastery that opened in 2009, with the roaster visible at the back.
The Bathysphere blend uses beans from Brazil, Colombia, Ethiopia and Kenya, and filter comes as batch brew or pour-over. Tea is steeped to set times and temperatures, and the chai is made in-house. The bacon sandwich with provolone, smoked mozzarella and apple-chilli relish is the signature dish. The café is licensed, has an outdoor area, and opens 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays and 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at weekends.
