About Unison Coffee Roasters
Unison Coffee Roasters is a Newcastle specialty coffee roaster run by Alaric Daley, a long-time Newcastle barista and roaster.
Daley describes the focus as quality over quantity. The small-batch roastery offers two blends and four to six single origins at any time and supplies a handful of cafés, among them Daley's own New Slang on Hunter Street and Equium Social in Mayfield East. Visit Newcastle's 2025 coffee guide names both cafés and links them to the roaster. Daley has worked in Newcastle coffee for many years as both barista and roaster.
