About New Slang Coffee Brewers
New Slang on Hunter Street is a Newcastle specialty coffee café opposite the University of Newcastle city campus.
Alaric Daley and his partner Sara opened it in 2019. Daley also runs Unison Coffee Roasters, whose blends and single origins are served here as espresso and V60 pour-over, with carbonated water alongside espresso. The menu is simple and seasonal. Visit Newcastle included New Slang in its July 2025 guide to the city's coffee.
