About The Grounds Coffee Factory
The Grounds is an Eveleigh, Sydney specialty coffee roaster established in 2012 by the team behind The Grounds of Alexandria.
Since 2024 it has roasted at The Grounds Coffee Factory. The factory, in a former railway workers' cafeteria in South Eveleigh, took six years to build, and beans move through the space on a transport system. Head roaster Nick Ferguson works on site. The roastery says it buys through long-term relationships with farmers and supplies local cafés wholesale, and it runs roaster tours, cuppings and home barista classes.
