Small Batch Roasting Co is a North Melbourne specialty coffee roaster founded by Andrew Kelly, which began as the in-house roaster of the Auction Rooms café.
Kelly later sold Auction Rooms and its takeaway arm to St Ali and kept the roastery, which runs a cellar door on Little Howard Street. Small Batch is credited with pioneering lighter roasting in Melbourne, and its sister company Shared Source works with small farms. Its Candyman blend is poured at CBD bars such as Little Rogue, and beans are sold on weekly or fortnightly subscriptions.
