About Dagger Coffee // Zijdebalen
Dagger Coffee is a Utrecht specialty coffee roaster founded in 2017 by barista and trainer Dagmar Geerlings.
The first Dagger café opened in March 2018 on Zijdebalenstraat, overlooking the water, and further bars followed on the Dot Slash campus on Europalaan. Dagger roasts single origins around three flavour profiles and is open about where its coffee comes from; past lots include Ethiopian coffees from Danche and Hambela Wamena, Peru's La Colmena and Tanzania's Umalila.
Alongside its own cafés, Dagger offers cupping courses, barista training and supply to businesses.
