About Core Roasters
Core Roasters is a Brunswick East, Melbourne specialty coffee roaster co-owned by Michael Allen, formerly of Small Batch, and Dani Sunario.
It roasts on site on Barkly Street with a 15 kg Roastmax, and the café pulls espresso on three Decent Espresso machines, with long blacks extracted lungo-style. The menu draws on Southeast Asian flavours, including a kaya latte with toasted coconut and gula melaka, kaya toast and espresso banana bread, plus iced teas from India and Taiwan sweetened with fermented fruit syrups. House chilli oil and marmalade are sold to take home.
