Cartel Roasting Co. is a Tempe specialty coffee roaster that describes itself as a community-owned coffee company.
It was founded in Tempe in 2008 as Cartel Coffee Lab.
Its coffees include single origins such as Kenya Kiangoi AA from Kirinyaga and the Afternoon Delight half-caff blend of Costa Rican, Brazilian, Honduran and Colombian coffee, and its cafés are known for a slow-bar pour-over program.
Cartel runs cafés across Phoenix, Tempe, Scottsdale and Tucson, including The Camby hotel, Desert Ridge, Rise Uptown, Coronado, Sky Harbor Airport and the Arizona State University campus.
