About Maitz Kaffeerösterei
Kaffeerösterei Maitz in Frutten is a Sankt Anna am Aigen specialty coffee roastery and café among the vineyards of Styria's Vulkanland.
Guests can watch the beans roast in a Giesen drum roaster behind a glass window, producing either light, fruity coffees or bold, robust ones. Homemade pastries, including cream slices, and breakfast are served, with an outdoor area and barrier-free access. Falstaff's 2027 café guide rates it 95 points, with 39 of 40 for the coffee, the top score in its Styrian own-roasting list. It opens Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
