About Zanzibar's Coffee Adventure
Zanzibar's Coffee Adventure is a locally owned Des Moines specialty coffee roaster that has roasted in small batches on site since 1993.
It roasts Arabica coffees from more than 30 countries, with organic and single-origin options alongside its blends, at its café on Ingersoll Avenue. The beans are served at the café's full-service espresso bar and sold by the bag in store, for pickup at the door or for shipping. The café also offers a limited breakfast menu and sweet treats through the day and displays changing art. Zanzibar's has been part of the Ingersoll Avenue neighborhood for more than three decades and recruits its baristas, which it calls Zanzibaristas, through its own site.
