WALDEN WOODS KYOTO is a specialty coffee roaster operating from its café in Shimogyo, central Kyoto. Roasting is done on site on a vintage Probat drum roaster from the 1960s, with the aim of bringing out the character of each bean.
The range covers single origins and house blends, served in the café as filter coffee and milk drinks and sold as beans.
The business also makes chai from spices the owners source while travelling and offers a selection of teas, served in the all-white café a short walk from Kawaramachi.
