The Coffee is a Brazilian café brand and specialty coffee roaster whose beans are selected and roasted in Curitiba, Brazil, by its master roaster.
Brothers Carlos, Alexandre and Luis Fertonani opened the first 3-square-metre The Coffee in Curitiba in 2018, taking cues from Japanese coffee bars. The brand sells its beans under the White Bag line: medium-roast Arabica scoring above 82 points, with notes of almond, caramel and chocolate, in regional versions such as a Yellow Bourbon from Carmo de Minas and lots from Huila, Oxapampa and El Salvador.
Its franchise has since grown abroad, including several cafés in Lisbon that serve coffee roasted in Curitiba.
