About The Boredom Set
The Boredom Set is a Pittsburgh specialty coffee roaster founded by Q. Miller-Edwards and Jett Wasson, who met as students in Kentucky.
Wasson roasts on a Stronghold S7 installed behind the bar at Heat Check Cafe in Shadyside, after learning on a home roaster and on Diedrich and Loring machines at Commonplace Coffee. Green coffee comes from smaller importers and producers' partners such as Know Where Coffee in Colombia, Sundog Trading in Rwanda and Dynamic Coffee in Honduras.
The company runs bars at Heat Check Cafe and at Market Street Grocery downtown, and resells refurbished drip brewers with coffee through its Mr. Coffee Project.
