sommarlek coffee roaster is a specialty coffee roaster in Kochi founded by Yoshitaka Isobe. He worked as a barista at Italian bars in Tokyo and trained at Obscura Coffee Roasters in Shimokitazawa, then started roasting in Nanaori in 2018 and has roasted at the Dogashimacho shop since 2021.
Isobe uses a direct-fire roaster to give coffees a clear flavour outline and sweetness. Single origins change every two to three months, and a medium-dark blend stays on as the house coffee for regulars.
