About Normo
Normo is a specialty coffee roaster and coffee bar in Antwerp, Belgium, roasting its own beans on Minderbroedersrui since 2013.
Jens Oris opened Normo on 1 June 2013 with the aim of raising the Belgian coffee standard, and built most of the furniture himself. The bar left syrups and whipped cream off the menu from the start and focuses on explaining the coffee instead. Beans are roasted on a Probat and cover espresso, filter, seasonal blends and a changing list of single origins.
A 2025 review describes the roasting as light and intentional, meant to show the farmer's work, with an emphasis on being open about where each coffee comes from. The café has tiled floors, green sofas and a large terrace.
