About Ledger Coffee Roasters
Ledger Coffee Roasters is a Madison specialty coffee roaster founded by Richard Wirsta, a former corporate finance professional from Ontario.
Ledger roasts on a 2009 Diedrich IR-24 at its roastery and coffee bar inside the renovated Garver Feed Mill, which opened in fall 2019. Wirsta practiced at home on a sample roaster before going commercial and sourced Ledger's first coffees through Cafe Imports, focusing on small-batch single origins.
The roaster serves its coffee at the Garver café and at a second café on Winnebago Street, and sells retail beans at both.
