KUUP is a family-run specialty coffee roaster in Rēzekne and describes itself as the first dedicated coffee roastery in the Latgale region.
The Maculevičs family moved back from Riga to found it, first roasting in a former primary school building in Lendži before setting up at Krasta iela 31 in Rēzekne. The range runs to six coffees, including a decaf, with flavour profiles shaped by roasting alone rather than added flavourings.
The roastery shares its address with Kabata, a design shop selling local crafts, and hosts guided masterclasses on sourcing, roasting and home brewing by advance booking. KUUP bags are stocked by shops across Latvia, from Rēzekne and Preiļi to several Rimi stores in Riga.
