About Goodman Roaster Kyoto
Goodman Roaster is a specialty coffee roaster with roasteries in Kyoto and Taipei. Founder Atsuomi Ito previously ran cafés in Taiwan and Hong Kong and installed a Diedrich roaster in Kyoto in 2020.
The Kyoto roastery uses a Diedrich IR5 and Taipei an IR12. Single origins are roasted light to highlight sweetness and soft acidity, while espresso blends aim for fruit notes and depth.
The roaster also offers coffee from Alishan in Taiwan and serves its beans at its café in Shimogyo near Karasuma.
