About BLUE BEANS ROASTERY
BLUE BEANS ROASTERY is a Kagoshima specialty coffee roaster operating since 2019 near the city's old castle town.
It roasts on an American-made Diedrich semi-hot-air machine and usually offers five to seven single origins and one blend. Manager Kennosuke Sakashita, formerly of HAY COFFEE STAND, oversees roasting and brewing, and the business is backed by a local dentist who stays behind the scenes.
Beans are sold by origin at the roastery's café in Kamitatsuocho, which opens daily, along with handmade pastries.
