About Aura Coffee Bar
Aura Coffee Co. is a specialty coffee roaster in Riga with a micro-roastery café at the University of Latvia Botanical Garden. It opened in May 2026.
Founder Kaspars Jelaiskis discovered third-wave coffee in Amsterdam around 2016, moved to Latvia in 2020 and stepped away from a design career to roast, starting on a small ceramic Japanese roaster given to him by a friend. Each coffee is sampled, roasted and tasted before it joins the list.
Current coffees include Ethiopia Limmu and Yirgacheffe, Honduras San Vicente, Colombia Nariño and Brazil Cerrado Mineiro, described as sustainably sourced seasonal specialty lots. Beans are sold online with a subscription option and supplied to businesses through a wholesale programme.
