About Kaffeværket
Kaffeværket is a family-run specialty coffee bar and roastery on Overgade in Odense, set in the historic Laurids Ulfeldts Gård. Mother and son Mette and Christian Hviid run the café, and they select and roast the coffee themselves, with beans sold to take home.
The premises are almost 350 years old, in one of the oldest surviving buildings in Odense, within the Hans Christian Andersen quarter of the old town. Alongside the coffee there is something good to eat, and the café hosts events and features an Artist of the Month. It is open seven days a week, which makes it an easy stop on a walk through the historic streets around Overgade.
