About WEEKENDERS COFFEE SHINMACHI
WEEKENDERS COFFEE Shinmachi is the new home of one of Kyoto's longest-running specialty coffee roasters. The shop replaces the former Weekenders bar tucked behind a car park on Tominokoji, which closed for relocation in 2026, and opened on Shinmachi street in Nakagyo at the end of September 2026.
The bar serves Weekenders' own light-roasted single origins, roasted at the company's private roastery in Shimogyo, as hand-drip filter and espresso drinks. Recent releases include a Panama Janson Geisha and Ethiopian lots from Banko Gotiti and Arbegona, and beans are sold by the bag for home brewing.
