About Okaffe Kyoto
Okaffe kyoto is a specialty coffee café near Shijo-Karasuma in Kyoto's Shimogyo, reached through a red tunnel-like passage off the street. It is run by barista Okada, a former Japan Barista Champion, who describes the service as rooted in the spirit of the tea ceremony.
The space has counter, table and sofa seats facing a back garden. The menu pairs lattes and coffee from the group's own roastery with made-to-order dorayaki, firm custard pudding, shaved ice and Neapolitan pasta.
