About Luck Apartment
LUCK APARTMENT is an espresso-focused specialty coffee café in Kagoshima's Yamashitacho, opened in February 2022.
Owner Hirotaka Fukunaga trained at Paul Bassett in Tokyo and spent two years in Australia, and the menu reflects that, with cappuccinos and long blacks from 6:30 in the morning. Filter coffee comes from a batch brewer, with some hand drip. Beans from local roasters and drip bags are sold. It fills a 50-year-old building near city hall that once housed a jazz café.
