About ROAST Coffee
ROAST Coffee's Vestmannagade café in Islands Brygge is a coffee bar and roastery for specialty coffee in Copenhagen. ROAST, founded in 2014 by Andreas Astrup, has long roasted at its Islands Brygge branch to keep the beans fresh before they reach its other bars.
The café serves espresso drinks and filter alongside single origins such as Kenya Kamwangi and Ethiopia Hadeso, sold as whole beans and through the brand's subscription. The company works on a direct-trade model it calls shared value, aiming to pay farmers fairly without middlemen. Hours run from 7:00 on weekdays and 9:00 at weekends, and the residential streets of Islands Brygge make it a neighbourhood stop rather than a commuter one.
