About Original Coffee Carlsberg Byen (Bag Elefanterne)
Original Coffee Bag Elefanterne is the brand's roastery and specialty coffee bar under one roof in Carlsberg Byen, Copenhagen, next to the Elephant Gate. Guests can watch beans being roasted on site, on a Loring Kestrel roaster that recycles heat and cuts gas use.
Each coffee is roasted, sorted and cupped every week under roastmaster Reza F. Anissi, from lots bought directly from cooperatives and producers. The bar serves flat whites with latte art and hand-brewed filter coffee, and the baked goods are made from scratch with Thise butter and Tanzanian cardamom. The building stands by Home of Carlsberg in the old brewery district, so it suits a coffee stop on a walk through Carlsberg Byen.
