About Original Coffee
Original Coffee Store Kongensgade is a specialty coffee bar at Store Kongensgade 124 in central Copenhagen, among shops and historic buildings. It works as a calm break from the city centre, suited to a morning start or a midday pause.
The beans come from the company's own roastery at Bag Elefanterne in Carlsberg Byen, and the pastries from its bakery in a former Kødbyen slaughterhouse. The bar serves espresso drinks, flat whites and filter coffee alongside organic baked goods. Original Coffee started in 2010 as Rolling Coffee, with childhood friends Nikolaj and Philip selling coffee from bikes, and took its current name in 2012. The company opened its first café in ILLUM that year and has since grown to more than twenty cafés across Copenhagen.
