About Toby's Estate Coffee Roasters
Toby's Estate on City Road is the Chippendale, Sydney specialty coffee flagship and roastery of Toby's Estate, with the roasting floor behind a glass wall.
Baristas work on the customers' side of the counter, mirrors overhead show the bar from above, and an island brew bar offers filter tastings. A colour wheel explains flavours across monthly single origins, limited blends and a reserve menu. Food is a small range of pastries, toasties and baguettes. The café was ranked fifth in a global coffee shop list in 2026, after first place in 2025. It opens 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at weekends.
