About Barrel One Coffee Roasters Brookvale
Barrel One on Orchard Street is the Brookvale, Sydney specialty coffee flagship of the Northern Beaches roaster, set at the front of its dispatch warehouse.
A garage-style roller door opens onto an industrial room with a hand-painted Fresh Coffee + Bagels sign. The menu runs to New York-style bagels, including a Reuben with Pastrami Kings pastrami, a pork-belly Cubano and grilled cheese made with Anthony Femia of Maker & Monger. Coffee is the roaster's own, for dine-in or takeaway.
