About suvenir gallery & cafe

Contemporary Suvenir is a gallery, design shop and specialty coffee café on Medená in Bratislava's Old Town, founded in 2015 by sculptor Nina A. Šošková.

The project promotes contemporary Slovak souvenirs with artistic value instead of mass-produced magnets, made in collaboration with local artists and designers such as Emil Taschka and Silvia Sukopová. Rotating exhibitions, workshops and talks about art and craft fill the space, and an annual residency explores a different Slovak region each year. The café pours Coffeein coffee as espresso, V60, batch brew and cold brew, with decaf, plant-based milks and wines from regional producers. Breakfast is served, there is outdoor seating, and children and dogs are welcome.
