About Kislings
Kislings is a specialty coffee bar and café on Perlegade in central Sønderborg, opened in 2015 by former Kontra Coffee roastmaster Michael Kisling. Kisling develops all the roast profiles himself, and the beans are roasted to those profiles by Kontra Coffee in Copenhagen. The team visits farms each year to see cultivation and fermentation first-hand.
The kitchen runs a seasonal menu in Danish, English and German, fitting for a town close to the German border. On Fridays the café stays open until nine with a separate evening menu, and wine comes through a partnership with Kjær & Sommerfeldt. In good weather there is seating in the courtyard garden.
