About Café Nunes
Café Nunes is a family café and specialty coffee stop in Fajã dos Vimes on São Jorge, Azores, serving coffee grown on its own plantation.
The Nunes family farms the arabica organically near sea level, hand-picks and sun-dries the beans for weeks, then roasts them for the café, which opened in 1997. It is the only place on the island to drink this coffee. Visitors can walk the plantation with the owners, who explain the growing process and the family history. The café opens daily from 08:00 to 21:00.
Brewing espresso — roasted in-house.
