About Sococo Coffee
Sococo Coffee is a social specialty coffee company with a café on Schiemond in Rotterdam, founded by Perry van Gils in 2018.
Sococo works directly with coffee farmers in Guatemala, through FamilyBondsCoffee, and in Uganda, paying fair prices while creating social return: every cup, catering job and event counts towards learning-work places for young adults starting out in the labour market. The company is recognised as a social enterprise and offers packaging-free coffee in reusable tins. The Schiemond café pours espresso, V60 and batch brew with plant-based milks and vegan options, and opens on Thursdays and Fridays from half past eight until five. Wifi, laptop space, outdoor seating and step-free access are available, and children and dogs are welcome.
