SAFARI COFFEE ROASTER is an Oita specialty coffee roaster founded in 2016 by Shingo Akiyoshi, a former automotive worker.
Since 2019 he has roasted on a 1948 PROBAT L12, which improved the clarity and consistency of his coffees. The roaster supplies its own Oita and Nakatsu cafés and sells beans online, and its mid-dark blend is used by the coffee cocktail bar THE DRINK in Nakatsu.
The Hatanaka shop is the roasting base and sells beans alongside drip coffee by the cup.
