About Liberty Coffee (Singapore)
Liberty Coffee is a Singapore specialty coffee roaster founded with partner Terence Tay, a former commercial airline pilot.
Tay left flying to import and roast specialty coffee. It roasts fresh, seasonal coffees for wholesale on a Loring Kestrel S35 and a Probatone, and describes itself as roasting in Singapore and Malaysia. Liberty sources from Central America, Africa and Asia and visits producers at origin in countries such as Kenya, Brazil, India and Indonesia, and it has invested in the El Fénix wet-mill project in Colombia. Its narrow coffee bar is in the Song Lin Building on Syed Alwi Road.
