About Honey Coffee
Honey Coffee (ハニー珈琲) is a Fukuoka specialty coffee roaster founded in 1996 and roasting at its Naka main store in Hakata Ward.
It is known as the home company of Hidenori Izaki, the 2014 World Barista Champion, and sources lots from Ethiopia, Panama, Colombia and Costa Rica. The business is built around bean shops where baristas offer tastings of the full range before customers buy.
Current shops include the Fukuoka Mitsukoshi basement store in Tenjin, Takamiya in Minami Ward, a Kyushu University Ito Campus store, and the Naka roastery shop. The company marked its 30th anniversary in 2026.
