Buna is a Ljubljana specialty coffee roaster run as a cooperative, roasting single origins and blends with a focus on transparency and responsibility.
Its cup of awareness message sets out where the coffee comes from and how the price is made up. Green coffee arrives in reusable packaging, spare jute sacks are made into new products, and customers are asked to keep or return their bags. Buna sells beans in 250 g, 500 g and 1 kg bags, offers barista training, and works closely with Cafe Čokl on Krekov trg, which roasts and grinds under the Buna brand.
