About Bugan Coffee Lab
Bugan Coffee Lab is a Bergamo specialty coffee roaster, academy and café group that has operated since 2014 and calls itself Italy's first coffee lab.
It sources specialty coffee directly from farms and roasts it in its own micro-roastery, adding new coffees each week by origin, season and flavour. Current lots include Sudan Rumè from Valle del Cauca in Colombia, a Gerse cascara-infused coffee from Yirgacheffe, and Finca Aves and Merino Huixoc from Guatemala. Scatti di Gusto names Maurizio Valli as the figure behind it. The academy runs SCA courses, cuppings and competition training. Its cafés on Via Quarenghi and Via Colleoni in Bergamo and Via Vigevano in Milan are already on Vereda.
