Beyond Coffee Roasters is a Kobe specialty coffee roaster in the Kitano district. It roasts in a converted old shack across the street from its standing coffee bar on Nakayamate-dori.
The roaster focuses on rotating single-origin coffees rather than a fixed lineup, sold as beans and brewed to order at the bar.
Staff guide customers through flavour profiles and home brewing, and the operation is small enough that roasting and serving happen within sight of each other. The bar is open from late morning to early evening and closes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
