About The Highwayman
The Highwayman is a coffee-only specialty coffee shop on the Upper Newtownards Road in Ballyhackamore, east Belfast.
The shop was opened by Josh Bell, the Bangor entrepreneur behind Coffee Rustler, and it follows the same approach: no food menu, just coffee from local and international roasters. Espresso drinks sit alongside V60 and batch brew filter, with decaf and plant-based milks. The branding leans into a Texan cowboy theme, drawn with illustrator Louis Nelson. It opens daily from 7:30am, there is wifi, and dogs are welcome, which suits the morning walkers of the area near Campbell College.
