About Root & Branch Coffee Roastery
Root & Branch Coffee Roastery is a specialty coffee roaster in east Belfast, with a public brew bar inside its Portview roastery.
Root & Branch opened in 2016 as Belfast's first specialty micro-roastery with its own coffee bar, originally squeezed into a back-street space the size of two stacked shipping containers. In 2018 it signed for a unit at Portview Trade Centre, a former linen mill on the Newtownards Road that now holds the roastery, lab, office and coffee bar, with Boundary Brewery as a neighbour. The bar serves espresso, V60 and batch brew, with decaf and plant-based milks, and visitors can join coffee cuppings. There is wifi and room for laptops, children and dogs are welcome, and it opens on weekdays only.
