About Akhi 'n Friends
Akhi 'n Friends is a specialty coffee and tea bar on Ruysdaelstraat in Amsterdam Oud-Zuid, a short walk from the Rijksmuseum, pouring DAK coffee.
Founder Abdul Arrindell, known as Akhi, worked at Rum Baba, Locals and Monks before opening here around the turn of 2026. The menu covers filter coffee, flat whites, espresso, matcha and tea, plus a chef's choice coffee. A 'Frozen by Friends' series offers coffees from partner roasters frozen at their peak. The living-room interior by Mantap Design Studio includes a custom chessboard.
